Staying Cozy While Working From Home
Remember at the beginning of the pandemic when so many of us took our work home and became remote employees overnight? And remember the initial thrill of foregoing your daily commute, only showering when you felt like it, and the freedom of pairing a semi-clean blouse with jogging shorts for zoom calls?
Maybe I am speaking from too much personal experience. But if that hit close to home, then perhaps you, like me, are rethinking your remote working wardrobe as we approach Fall.
In the sweltering hot days of Summer, it makes sense to throw on shorts with a loose tank that can pass as both chic and comfortable. However, as temperatures drop and working from home loses its charm, I’ve found myself craving a combination of cozy knits mixed with elevated pieces. Instead of the drawstring pajama pants that I usually wear, maybe I’ll throw on a silky slip dress with cozy socks and a warm sweater. Rather than wearing my boyfriend’s college sweatshirt with sweatpants, maybe I’ll wear a cute matching wool blend jogging set. And even though I have made empty promises to myself in the past about elevating my work wardrobe, this feels less about presenting myself a certain way and more about treating myself to a better everyday experience in my clothes.
Here are a few combinations we have been dreaming about that check off multiple boxes: They’re cozy, luxurious, and work-friendly.
Imagine this wool-blend jogging set with socks and a warm cup of coffee in the morning. Comfort never looked so good!
A cozy cardigan is a Fall must-have, and this style is made ultra-cozy with a textured multi color yarn and a flattering balloon sleeve. Paired with leggings, it’s both comfortable and stylish.
Just because we're working from home doesn't mean we have to write off our dresses and skirts! Try a simple cozy sweater dress that can be dressed up or down, or a knit skirt for those days you don't feel like wearing pants. Our knit midi skirt has a side slit for movement and a drawstring waist for comfort.
A lightweight knit pullover offers warmth and easy coverage, and our oversize version includes a sexy open back detail. Worn off the shoulder or pulled forward, this casual style can make any outfit look effortlessly pulled together.
Turn Back Oversize Knit Pullover
A kimono cardigan is an easy way to upgrade the classic cardigan. It's perfectly oversize, with an added fringe detail that has been trending for Fall. Throw it on over a cami, or wrap it up and belt it.
